After four months of blessing us with the flirtatious banger “Are You Down“, Nigerian emcee, Ladipoe has followed up with a vibrant video.

With sounds that bear hints of afrobeat, dancehall and of course finely blended with the American music genre that is rap, Ladipoe’s sound can best be described as  the unique genre that is “Afro-rap”.  From being part of a small music group (LEQ) in North Carolina to rising to prominence as an affiliate of rap duo Show Dem Camp, to forging his solo path with his collaborations with a few of Nigerian musical giants like Falz, Yemi Alade, Show Dem Camp and MI to name a few, to getting signed to one of the leading record labels in the country- Mavin Records, Ladipoe is slowly becoming a force to reckon with in these parts.

Ladipoe’s new frisky rap anthem which features fellow Mavin Records signee, Tiwa Savage, sees a more versatile version of the rapper as he shows off a more playful side to him as a rapper as seen in the Tshisz Nelson-directed visual as he continuously grinds and flirts with his love interest in the 3:30 minute long cameo. Those who know Ladipoe, know that his squad is important to him, which is why it wasn’t completely unexpected when his “Gs”; Tec of SDC, Funbi, Cheyenne Labasa, all made appearances. If nothing else, the really cool outfits Ladipoe is wearing in this video styled by the brilliant Bella Adeleke, will catch your eyes.

Admit it, when the chorus “Ladipoe in the building, Are You Down?” comes on, you all want to get up and gyrate your hips. It doesn’t take a genius to know this one is a club banger, FOR SURE.
